Special Olympics New York Young Athletes is a sport and play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities (ID), ages 2 to 7. It introduces basic sport skills and offers families, teachers, caregivers and people from the community the chance to share the joy of sports with all children.

The New Paltz Owlbears is a unified Special Olympics basketball team. Our group consists of older children/teens/young adults primarily residing in Ulster county, NY (Kingston, Rondout, New Paltz, Wallkill, and Newburgh). Sessions run as skill-building clinics with scrimmages played as well.
Registration ends in Late November (for a January start to the season)
